senior quality manager
teenage engineering develops highly-acclaimed products for people who love sound, music and design. we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior quality manager to lead our quality team.
general
this role is pivotal in ensuring our products meet and exceed industry standards. you will be involved from the initial stages of development (EVT, DVT, PVT) through mass production and until product EOL. the successful candidate will guide the R&D team on new projects, ensure alignment between R&D efforts and quality goals in each NPI phase. you will also work closely with the manufacturing team to maintain quality during ramp and mass production. this role involves collaboration with R&D, manufacturing and sourcing & supplier development.
main responsibilities & task
quality assurance:
develop and implement QA policies and procedures for material and processes.
QA activities, ensuring continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
collaborate on new product development to incorporate quality considerations from the outset.
collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate supplier quality and performance, and set quality requirements for purchased materials and components.
quality control:
conduct reliability testing of product and ensure specifications are met.
supplier quality, ensuring that all incoming materials meet specification
yield improvement to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
ensure suppliers adhere to quality control procedures and maintain close coordination with manufacturing team.
3rd part QC and supplier audits
engineering / ECN:
handle engineering changes via PLM, ensuring changes are reviewed and updates are accurately documented and implemented.
first-line support for supplier and manufacturing team for quality topics.
input during product design and development to ensure manufacturability and quality.
review engineering changes for potential quality impacts.
qualifications
bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
minimum of 10 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment, preferably within consumer electronics or professional audio segment.
proven experience in leading and developing quality teams.

excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
preferred skills
advanced certifications in quality management, such as Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or similar.
familiarity with reliability testing methods and yield improvement processes.
