as a category activation specialist at teenage engineering, you will play a key role in driving both commercial success and marketing activation impact across our product categories. your primary responsibility will be to ensure that each product has a clear, actionable plan not only for its launch but also for maintaining consumer interest and market traction after the initial release. you will develop and execute strategies to continuously activate our products, reaching new consumer segments and driving sustained engagement both across our direct-to-consumer and our business-to-business channels
in this hands-on, cross-functional role, you’ll collaborate with product development, sales (both business-to-business and direct-to-consumer), marketing, and supply chain teams to build tailored strategies for each product category. your commercial acumen and marketing activation mindset will ensure that we not only launch products effectively, but also extend their lifecycle through strategic post-launch activations. experience in teenage engineering’s product assortment, and the music or audio/speaker industry is a strong advantage, helping you understand the most relevant activations for both our customers and consumers.
key responsibilities
product activation & lifecycle management: design and implement activation plans for each product category, with a focus on driving continuous engagement and expanding reach beyond initial launches. work closely with the sales, marketing and product development teams to ensure products remain relevant and visible to potential new consumers.
customer engagement & post-purchase strategies: support in building post-purchase engagement programs that drive consumer loyalty, helping to nurture long-term relationships with customers through targeted content and community-building initiatives.
capture market feedback: act as a conduit between the market and product teams, providing actionable insights based on customer data and feedback to guide ongoing product enhancements and activation efforts.
global market adaptation: tailor product activation strategies to align with regional market needs, ensuring continued relevance and consumer interest across different markets.
skills & qualifications
a strong commercial & marketing activation mindset: strong commercial acumen combined with a deep understanding of marketing activation strategies, as well as teenage engineering’s product portfolio will help craft tailored and efficient campaigns.
structured & hands-on: highly organized with a practical, hands-on approach to both strategy and execution, ensuring that plans are followed through across channels.
cross-functional collaboration: excellent interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across departments.
analytical & problem-solving: strong data-driven approach, using insights to adapt and improve product activation strategies.
sales channel & region management: experience working across multiple sales channels and regions to ensure that products are positioned effectively for long-term success.
experience & education
bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is desired.
minimum 5 years of experience in category management, product management, or marketing, with a focus on both launch strategies and long-term product activations.
experience in the music or audio/speaker industry and an understanding of teenage engineer’s product assortment is an advantage, helping ensure a deep understanding of relevant activations for our customers and consumers.
proven success in driving product performance beyond launch, with experience in commercial and marketing roles.

the position located at our hq in stockholm and will report to the commercial project lead. as this position is located in stockholm, a swedish work permit is required to apply. applicants not located in stockholm will not be considered.
