head of sales - north america
teenage engineering is a swedish consumer electronics company founded in 2005. we design and develop creative consumer electronics and music technology with a focus on innovation, user experience, and aesthetic appeal. our products combine functionality, design and playfulness, and are used by a global community of artists, musicians and creatives.
we are now looking for a head of sales for north america to lead our growth in the us and canada. you will be responsible for direct-to-reseller sales and lead the local team to ensure brand visibility and commercial impact across the region.
the role is based in the us, ideally on the east coast, and reports to our cco at hq in stockholm.
responsibilities
support in setting the regional strategy and lead execution, with full ownership of forecasting and revenue targets - directly responsible for B2B - indirectly for amazon and dtc.
lead the local team, ensuring alignment, focus and performance.
grow brand visibility and sales across the region, ensuring our products have maximum presence and commercial impact.
build and manage relationships with key resellers, creating long-term growth plans while staying agile to activate events and opportunities that maximize brand presence and impact.
visit stores regularly to build and maintain relationships, as well as deliver product demonstrations and training sessions to resellers and in-store staff.
ensure strong in-store execution and lead the rollout of POS displays.
optimize and scale the direct-to-reseller model for efficiency and growth.
use data and insights to monitor and improve sales performance.
collaborate with hq functions such as e-commerce and logistics to ensure aligned planning, timely supply and consistent execution across the region.
requirements
8–10+ years of sales leadership experience
based in the us, within east or central time zones
previous experience from consumer electronics, music tech or lifestyle brands
proven track record in growing reseller businesses and driving sell-through
experience with in-store activations and retail execution
confident in leading product demos and staff training
results-oriented, hands-on and data-driven
flexible with early mornings (reporting to sweden) and frequent travel
