teenage engineering is looking for a senior mechanical engineer to work in our stockholm studio. in this role, you will be responsible for driving home development projects using extensive previous experience from the audio industry, further developing the department's expertise in mechanical processes, designs and manufacturing methods. you will work closely with other engineers from other disciplines, creating and finalizing detailed CAD models and mechanical drawings for a variety of projects, taking them all the way to mass-production. we are looking for someone who has a true passion for mechanical engineering rather than product design, who enjoys working with complex mechanical solutions and is dedicated to tackling technical challenges.

main responsibilities & tasks

• drive development projects, specifically within the home/portable audio segment, using previous experience and industry best practice methods to ensure our products meet the company’s expectations.

• ensure the mechanical department’s collective knowledge within the mechanical field is best in class.

• work with prototyping, creating and finalizing detailed CAD models and mechanical drawings for a variety of projects, taking them to pass-production.

• manage multiple projects simultaneously and approach challenges with enthusiasm and precision.

• act as a mentor and technical lead for more junior members of the team.

qualifications

• engineering degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or similar.

• minimum 10 years experience in the mechanical field within consumer electronics.

• long experience working with asian consumer electronics contract manufacturers onsite.

• expert knowledge in solidworks.

• expert knowledge in injection molding.

• expert knowledge in CNC.

• expert material knowledge.

• extensive knowledge in loudspeaker design and manufacturing.

• extensive knowledge in acoustics design.

• familiarity with full product development cycles.
